ANNOUNCES STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH AGC OF AMERICA

iSqFt Offers Internet Plan Rooms and related Internet services to AGCA Local Chapters and Members

Nashville, Tenn., March 22, 2001 - - Construction Software Technologies, Inc. d/b/a iSqFt, an industry provider of internet-based services, announced today a strategic alliance with the Associated General Contractors of America (AGCA).  The partnership has been established to deliver Internet-based services to the commercial construction industry. The primary platform for this endeavor will be iSqFt, which provides online plan rooms, construction project information, bidding and estimating software, and collaboration and communication tools for AGCA, its local Chapters and its membership.

Jim Burkett, AGCA Task Force Chair states, “The Task Force objective was to research and find the most comprehensive Chapter based Internet Plan Room solution available. After considering numerous offerings, we determined that iSqFt provides both the functionality and market development capabilities that would most benefit our membership at the local Chapter level.”

iSqFt, in conjunction with the local AGC chapters, has developed a comprehensive market development strategy that utilizes the iSqFt/AGC Internet Plan Rooms as a catalyst to enable General Contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to conveniently share and distribute important construction project information, including plans and specifications.  The iSqFt Tool set enables General Contractors to significantly reduce the hard dollar costs associated with the traditional distribution of paper plans, specs and addenda that occur during the project life cycle.

iSqFt is a powerful tool for finding new work  and it is a service that AGC chapters provide to their membership. Chapters that provide plan room services recognize that traveling to a physical plan room can become a time consuming and costly process.  iSqFt enables AGC members to conveniently view plan room projects 24 hours a day, seven days a week from the member’s home or office location via the internet.  The iSqFt Toolbox enhances the use of the plan room by providing project search and query capabilities to identify projects that meet the specific criteria of the user.

iSqFt has agreements with the Alabama, Georgia, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee AGC chapters to provide iSqFt/AGC Internet Plan Rooms.  The Carolina’s chapter has agreed to move forward and California has signed a letter of intent for services. iSqFt is in various stages of discussions with approximately 30 additional chapters.

Executive Vice President and CEO of AGCA, StephenSandherr said,  “Our partnership with iSqFt provides AGCA with the technology that enables our local chapters to provide market leadership services and convenient access to important project information directly to our members right in their own market.” According to Mark Pursell, AGCA Senior Director of Business Development, “Market surveys revealed a desire on the part of our membership to use the internet as a way to more conveniently and more cost effectively find new work and follow these projects throughout the bidding process; our partnership with iSqFt delivers this functionality to our members.”

According to Dave Conway, President & CEO of Construction Software Technologies, Inc., “iSqFt is pleased to be an AGCA Strategic Business Partner. This innovative partnership was structured to provide the Local Chapters with new tools that deliver tangible and sustainable value to the membership.  AGC local Chapters and iSqFt stand at the forefront of creating the online network that will expedite the distribution of important project information while improving processes and reducing cost for the membership.”

A separate, but related relationship is under development between AGCA and Primavera to provide project management, control and execution software. iSqFt and AGCA will both work to develop links to these project management services in partnership with Primavera (PrimeContract).
