When I set out to write a post about Thanksgiving, I realized that this could go a million ways. I could write about how much we love our customers (we do), how much we all love working together (it’s ridiculous), or how thankful we are to have such amazing family and friends. The fact is, there are so many reasons to be thankful this time of year.
If you’ve been paying attention to our Twitter feed, you’ve noticed that we’ve been sharing reasons why we’re thankful using the hashtag #iSqFtThanks. When I walked around our office and harassed asked our folks why they’re thankful, they gave me a lot of great reasons. I begged them to not be generic and not just talk about their jobs, but some of them wanted to share just how much they enjoyed working here. And some of them shared how much they loved their families and friends. Some of them appreciated refrigeration (Doug, I’m looking at you!). Our VP of HR Julie Storm shared that she was grateful that all of her kids would be back in Ohio this year during #ConstChat this week. There were so many genuine reasons to be thankful.
We hope during this season of thanks that you’re able to take some time with your own family and friends, enjoy a great meal, watch some football, and reflect on all of the amazing reasons why you’re thankful. I don’t know about you, but I can come up with a quite a few.
With that, check out our Thanksgiving traditions. We had a tasty meal together, bowled with some frozen turkeys, and shared reasons why we’re thankful on giant turkeys. Basically, there was a lot of turkey. We also volunteered with People Working Cooperatively and had a great time helping out in our community.
