Why Greenbuild Matters to iSqFt

By Dave Conway, President and CEO, iSqFt

There’s no shortage of tradeshows to attend in any given year, and every company makes decisions about which ones it should attend and which it must attend. Greenbuild, for iSqFt, is a must-attend show for a variety of reasons.

Connections matter
Technology is and will continue to be a boon for our industry. It helps general contractors, subcontractors, and manufacturers create and maintain relationships across vast distances, and collaborate in ways that were unimaginable just a few years ago. The day may even come when technology replaces the need for face-to-face conversations or the reassurance of a handshake.

And while that may happen, it’s not here yet, and my salespeople and I still value the experience of meeting new people and getting to know them in person.

Assembly of manufacturers[1]
No trade show has more forward-thinking manufacturers than Greenbuild, and that makes it a perfect fit for iSqFt, since the fastest-growing segment of iSqFt’s business has been our offering for manufacturers. Since we began offering it back in 2009, the number of subscribers discovering how iSqFt can help them create (not just find) new sales opportunities has grown almost as fast as the capabilities of the platform itself.

If you have never seen iSqFt for Manufacturers, or even if you just haven’t seen it lately, I would urge you to take just a few minutes to stop by booth #1723 and see what incredible things we can offer your sales organization.

It IS easy being green
I’ll be the first to say that when we started iSqFt, saving trees and fuel wasn’t the driving force. We were more focused on saving time and money. Funny thing, though, that they’re so connected. The truth is that by allowing people to forgo paper plans, iSqFt has saved hundreds of thousands–perhaps millions–of trees. By allowing people to view projects and project documents online via a virtual plan room–on their schedule–we’ve given them control over their time, but we’ve also eliminated the need to fire up their cars and pickups and drive to a plan room.

Being green, particularly when forced into the confines of regulations, can be difficult. However, when it’s merely a byproduct of efficiency, as iSqFt has proven millions of times with its hundreds of thousands of users, it comes naturally.

Have a great time
There’s more to life than work, and we always try to infuse our booth with a little unexpected fun. Last year we had a claw machine filled with prizes and this year … well, I don’t want to spoil the surprise but it’s going to blow you away. Literally. You’ll see what I mean.

Also, for the past few years iSqFt has hosted a party after the first night of Greenbuild. From 6:00 to 9:00 on November 20th, in the Marriott Grand Ballroom, we’re going to have a DJ, and blackjack, craps, and roulette tables at which you can win some really cool prizes. And, of course, free drinks and hors d’oeuvres.

Simply put, iSqFt is going to Greenbuild to meet you, to get to know your company better, and to find out if there’s anything we can do to help you grow your business. You really should stop by and say hi, face-to-face.
