CINCINNATI—iSqFt / Construction Software Technologies announced that it has acquired Bid News Construction Reports, LLC, the largest provider of bidding project information to contractors in Oklahoma. The move to acquire the Tulsa‐based firm, which also has operations in Oklahoma City, comes as a result of the retirement of Bid News owner and founder Ken Duncan.
“Having worked in partnership with Ken and Bid News in this market over the past 5+ years, iSqFt is tuned in to the needs of the Oklahoma construction community,” noted Dave Conway, CEO/President of iSqFt. “We will continue to provide Oklahoma construction professionals with the quality of information and service that they have received over the years. We look forward to building on what Ken has put in place and provide an even more invaluable solution for contractors across Oklahoma.”
Bid News operations in both Oklahoma City and Tulsa will remain unaffected by this acquisition and plan rooms will remain open in both locations. Current Bid News staffing of 9 employees (7 in Tulsa and 2 in Oklahoma City) will also remain unaffected. These employees will also have the opportunity for advancement through iSqFt, which currently has more than 250 employees nationwide. Mr. Duncan will assist with the transition over the coming months prior to his official retirement.
